Half a success is better than none.

Day 2 went well for the most part.  I got Meltdown and ICP done before 10 am and managed some cardio before having to take all four of my girls to the big city.  It was dress shopping for winter formal day.  8 hours later with three tired girls and one dropped off with the grandparents, I got home and then had to spend an hour getting one to sleep.  Not an excuse, just a vent.  I figured it would be ok to miss the last workout given that I was going to run 11 miles this morning.  The sad reality is that we are under yet another winter storm warning, high winds and pouring rain.  The run will have to wait until tomorrow.  Food wise I did ok until we hit Red Robin.  Thankfully they got my food wrong so I didn't eat it all.  On to Day 3!  Plan is to do all 4 MAP workouts!

Thanks to snow, wind, rain, potential flooding and a power outage, I was derailed.  I did allow it to happen.  No excuses.  I began again yesterday with Day 1.  I am heading into day 2 VERY sore and loving every second of it!

Day 2 was a big fat failure.  Nothing went right...well almost nothing.  I'm having issues with my heels due to bad running shoes and I did get a new pair of shoes yesterday, but now I'm sick.  I'm going to try to eek out some workouts, but may end up trying to recover and then adding a few extra MAP days at the end of the month.  For now, my goal is to get better.

Day 1

I am actually just beginning day 2 but will blog a day behind as it doesn't make sense to write about a day that hasn't happened yet.  This could make for more creative writing practice for me, however I don't think that is the end goal here.

Yesterday I completed three of the four workouts.  I am going to have to change my strategy a bit to include that last workout.  I did Meltdown after the kids went to school, shortly after that I did my marathon training run.  Turned out to be 4.5 miles of running and some walking.  ICP happened around 2pm and once the kids got home it was over.  I think my goal will be to get up and do meltdown before the kids are awake and get the Power Circuit in before I start dinner.  Once dinner starts there is no going back.

Foodwise, I did well.  Breakfast was eggs w/veggies, banana and protein shake for a snack, turkey with arugula and broccoli for lunch, popcorn and a handful of peanuts for a snack and a gluten, dairy free taco bowl for dinner.  I was never at any time overly hungry and when I was, I grabbed the peanuts.  I did feel strange in the afternoon.  Other than that I'm doing well, except for the sore glutes this morning.  :)

Day 0: January 3, 2012

It seems like I am doing this every year.  At some point it will all stick.  I will not give up until I am dead.  Tomorrow begins another 30 day MAP journey.  My goal is to get back into my jeans, lose the fat, develop a more toned body, and begin to feel good about myself again.  I am strong and I am capable of doing anything I put my mind too, including this.  So here is my starting point.

Current Weight: 202.4
Bust: 43"
Waist: 40"
Hips: 45"
Arm: 13.5 inches
Leg: 19.5"
        26.5 inches

Scary as I've managed to take myself back to 2007 with these numbers.  It has to end.  The perpetual loss and gain that always results in a higher number.  I have to want this badly enough to give up the skittles and the chocolate and other foods that are derailing my success.  Today is Day 0.

Back in the New Year!

Dax is doing another 30 day M.A.P. Fatloss program and I am in to try again.  Last time I got injured and sucked into apathy and sadness.  Not this time around.  I'm looking forward to rapidly losing the fat that I have put on over the last six months.  My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs this month.  Here goes everything!

Family trips

Clearly I need to stop going on them.  I end up eating crap food that is not good for me, feeling terrible and failing miserably.  I cannot wait to get past this triathalon on Saturday and just focus on strength and running.
